After reading this title there are two possible things that are going on in your head right now, "You are either confused" or "You think i am crazy", You are not wrong. When i tell you the word France what"s the first thing that pops in you head? PARIS, isnt it?
Paris is one of the most touristic destinations of the world, It is one of finest and one of the most modern and developed cities. After once you've travelled to Paris your benchmark of luxury travelling will be on another level, but france is a lot more than just Paris. One of France's hidden gem is its beach city called NICE and the things about this city will make you want to pack your bags and travel there right now.
So fortunately I have been to Paris,France in 2018 and trust me the feeling of being in "THE CITY OF ROMANCE" is amazing but i was also able to travel to Nice, France in 2019 and let me tell you my friend this city will exceed your expectations.
Paris is like the golden egg, it has received all the hype and fame for the gorgeous french architecture, beautiful alleyways, the french culture, Eifel tower & the delicious macaroon which was passed down by their ancestors and because of the events that occured in the past but on the other hand Nice is like a hidden Jewel, No one has heard much about it but it definitely deserves a visit because it is filled with beauty and rich culture that gives you the true essence of being in France.
To be honest, just about 2 year's back my perspective on this beautiful country was completely different than what it is right now. Paris,France was one of my biggest dream destination's which got checked of from my bucket list in 2018.
Paris definitely met my expectations and actually crossed it but i realized that Paris is not my kind of a city, i mean it definitely is gorgeous and it might be perfect for you but this city is just not meant for me.
If you have a dream of being in the city of Romance and having the finest wine on the top of the Eifel tower at midnight? then guess what Paris is all you need. Because you wouldn't find this anywhere in the world.
Why would you want to choose visiting Paris over Nice?
Paris has a lot of things to offer and quite exquisite things. There definitely are a few things that Paris offer's which you may not find anywhere in the world let alone other French cities.
> Tasty Breakfast; I have by far had my tastiest Breakfast of my entire life in Paris. From the never ending spread of delicious food to the soft but crunchy croissants added with loads of nutella makes my tummy scream for more. It still makes my mouth water when i think about it.
> Definition of aesthetic; how many of you all have always wanted to take those dramatic, moody, dreamy shots in the heart of Paris, behaving like a local French citizen? I am sure its quite a number. Every street you walk in Paris is aesthetic from the way people dress, their manaresim,the way they talk, the coffee shops (they are the best thing ever), their city all in all is just aesthetic.
> It has a beautiful Energy; Being of one the most populated and touristic destination's of the world, a city with a population of almost 2.5 million it receives tourist upto 40 million a year. These figure's are enough to tell you that the energy and liveliness that you experience in this city is like no other.
The night life in this city is like nothing you will ever see. And you've probably heard this quote before, "An evening in Paris"this is said for a reason.
>Culture & Lifestyle:- Being a citizen from a different country with a different culture it's a huge culture shock. If its your first time in France you'll be overwhelmed by their culture and lifestyle.
I still remember when i first reached France, i did not know how to react the excitement of being in the city of my dreams was taken aback by the shock of so many new things.
Now Paris is quite vibrant and full of energy but there are a lot of people who prefer to have a more peaceful and quite morning, a morning filled with calmness and serenity. where they choose to start their day by beach rather than chaos of the city. Well just like me if you are this kind of a person and you still want to have that French energy and vibe,
then Nice, France is your place.
With just over the population of 1 Million Nice is Located in the French Riviera, on the south east coast of France on the Mediterranean Sea. Now there must be a simple question in your head why would you want me to Travel to NICE and not to any other beautiful countries like switzerland, Russia, Santorini etc. so Here's why you would want to consider Nice as an option:-
Why you would want to choose visiting Nice over Paris
>Peace and Calmness:- Compared to what you see in Paris, Nice is a lot less crowded and a lot more quite. You could be in Nice for a week and you would still not get bored of it because Nice is a perfect balance of both Fun and Chill.
By fun, i mean you have the best carnivals and events in and around nice because of its geographical location and its culture,Nice is extremely popular for its Carnivals and by chill i mean you have a 4km long stone beach and the temperature doesn't exceed 25 celcius like the climate is perfect.
>Beautiful scenery:- Nice is a beach city. Here's a "fun fact:- I had no clue that France has beaches but it does not only have beaches but it has snow caped mountains as well". It has gorgeous alleyways and narrow streets, small cute shops and amazing squares to spend your evenings in The gorgeous 7 miles of Promenade des Anglais will definitely be one of those "I will never forget this in my life" moments.
>delicious food:- Just because Nice is a little different, don't let it fool you, it still lives in France and has all its flair in French food. You will get everything in Nice that you get in Paris but a lot more. You will cherish all the food that you get to eat there, some special items which you can eat there are:-
> Baguette Sandwich
> soufflés
> French coffee
>Macarons
And a lot more, you'd get tired eating but their dishes won't end.
>Cheaper and more affordable:- Getting around to different places in Nice is comparatively a lot cheaper. Public transportation is a whole lot more convenient and easy.
Fast food like Sandwich's are barely 3/4 Euro each and one is enough to keep you going for hours and you could find that everywhere, also, Nice is a small city so everything is barely 10-15 minutes away by the metro/tram/cab/walk.
> THINGS TO DO IN NICE:-
Go for a morning run or walk along the Promenade des Anglais. (highly recomended).
A day trip to Monaco.
A day trip to Cannes.
Beautiful architecture and museums.
> On a free evening in NICE you could possibly do these things:-
Visit VIEX NICE, also known as the old town. You could spend time there shopping or just chilling. There are always street musicians there who play beautiful french music combined that with a sunset and an ice cream/ delicacy and it would be an evening to remember.
Walk along the Promonade and enjoy the views and just feel the calm and beautiful energy. It will really calm you down trust me on this. "pro tip:- when doing this,set a playlist of beautiful and peaceful music a day before and play it while sitting by the beach, turn of all notification's and forget that another world exits, Just you and that moment in complete sync".
A toy train ride showing you the high & lows of the city.
Sit by a cafe and have dinner by the sea watching the beautiful sunset.
